Recently, the Provincial Economic and Information Commission issued the "Notice on Announcement of the Fifth Batch of Featured Industrial Clusters in Jiangsu Province", such as Dongfeng Power Industry Cluster, which has become our county's optical fiber and cable industry cluster, fitness equipment industry cluster, and pesticide industry cluster. Afterwards, it was recognized as the 4th provincial characteristic industrial cluster.

 

It is reported that the identification of characteristic industrial clusters in Jiangsu Province is to promote the clustering and development of regional characteristic industries, accelerate the transformation of economic development mode, adjust and optimize regional economic layout structure, and achieve an effective starting point for regional economic transformation and upgrading. It is recommended to apply for provincial-level industrial and information industry transformation and upgrading special fund projects.

 

In recent years, our county has actively responded to the national policy of developing strategic emerging industries, given full play to its resources and location advantages, and vigorously developed new energy sources such as wind power. As of the end of last year, 15 wind power projects have been built in the county, with a total installed capacity of 1.35 million kilowatts, accounting for about one-third of the province's total installed wind power capacity, ranking first in the province. Among them, the installed capacity of the grid-connected offshore wind farm has reached 600,000 kilowatts, and the offshore wind power project under construction is 450,000 kilowatts. Our county has built the largest offshore wind power base in Asia and the largest county-level wind power base in the province.
