Information
In the first half of 2014, the national average wind curtailment rate was 8.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 5.14 percentage points. This is the data released in the "Operation of Wind Power Grid-connected in the First Half of 2014" (hereinafter referred to as "Situation") issued by the National Energy Administration on July 28. However, the "good news" of the improvement in wind power grid-connected consumption has not reduced the pressure on the industry to recover. The "Situation" shows that the average utilization hours of wind power is 979 hours, a year-on-year decrease of 113 hours.

Abandoned wind mainly refers to the fact that due to some reasons, wind power cannot be connected to the grid, and only the wind turbine can stop generating electricity. Data from the National Energy Administration shows that in 2012, the country abandoned about 20 billion kWh of wind power, which is equivalent to more than 10 billion yuan in economic benefits, doubling from 2011. Coupled with the overcapacity of equipment manufacturing and the blow of "double reverse" in Europe and the United States, China's wind power industry has entered a trough of development, and many companies have suffered losses.

This forced the National Energy Administration to issue several documents to promote wind power consumption. Since the beginning of this year, the National Energy Administration has formulated a series of policy measures for the development of wind power, showing the strength of the state's support for the development of wind power. So far, my country's four batches of "Twelfth Five-Year" wind power projects have a total approval volume of more than 100 million kilowatts.

On the basis of the year-on-year decrease of about 5 billion kWh of abandoned wind power in 2013, the "Situation" shows that in the first half of 2014, the new grid-connected capacity of wind power nationwide was 6.32 million kilowatts, and the cumulative grid-connected capacity was 82.77 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 23%; The on-grid electricity of wind power was 76.7 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%; the national wind power abandoned wind power was 7.2 billion kWh, a year-on-year decrease of 3.58 billion kWh.

The wind power industry has gradually recovered, and wind farm operators have raised their 2014 installed capacity targets with high profitability. The market also responded positively to this. Recently, relevant rating agencies have given buy ratings to related wind power listed companies; investment institutions and banks are optimistic about the market prospects of the wind power industry, and fields such as wind farm construction, grid-connected power generation, and wind power equipment manufacturing have become investment hotspots.

"It is expected that the domestic wind power installed capacity will continue to grow rapidly in 2014 and 2015, and the price of wind turbines will remain stable and is expected to further increase. Through the transmission of the industry chain, the entire wind power industry chain will show a recovery and rapid growth trend." Qilu Securities analysis report pointed out .

It cannot be ignored that the problem of wind abandonment in some areas is still serious. Xinjiang is the province with the largest grid-connected capacity in the country, reaching 1.39 million kilowatts, but the wind curtailment rate has also reached 17.25%, which means that the utilization rate of wind power in Xinjiang needs to be improved. In addition, the wind abandonment rate in Northeast China remains high. In the first half of the year, Jilin’s wind abandonment rate reached 19.75%, the highest in the country, and the average utilization hours were only 727 hours; Heilongjiang’s wind abandonment rate was 15.52%, with 832 utilization hours. hours, and Northeast wind power companies can only make profits when the average operating hours per year is more than 2,000 hours.
