Information
Core Tip: From 2008 to 2013, China exported a total of 748 wind turbines to 27 countries and regions, with a total installed capacity of 1.392 million kilowatts. Export markets include the United States, Australia, Ethiopia, Italy, Turkey, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Chile, etc. .

Just over a decade ago, China, which still basically relied on imports of wind power equipment, has now become an emerging exporter of wind turbines. The reporter learned from the "2014 Shanghai International Offshore Wind Power and Wind Power Industry Chain Conference and Exhibition" held in Shanghai on the 2nd that in 2013, seven wind power equipment manufacturers in China exported a total of 341 units with an installed capacity of 692,000 kilowatts, respectively. Compared with the previous year, it has increased by 51.1% and 60.8%, creating the best level since the record of wind turbine export in 2008.

According to the statistics of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, from 2008 to 2013, China exported a total of 748 wind turbines to 27 countries and regions with a total installed capacity of 1.392 million kilowatts. The export markets include the United States, Australia, Ethiopia, Italy, Turkey, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Chile, etc.

Shi Pengfei, honorary director of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, believes that China has become an emerging exporter of wind turbines, which shows from one side that after building the world's largest wind power industry in ten years, China has begun to expand from extensive quantitative expansion to improving quality, Shift in direction to reduce full-life-cycle wind power costs.

Statistics show that the current annual production capacity of wind turbines in China has reached 40 million kilowatts, while the annual demand in the domestic market does not exceed 20 million kilowatts, and the overcapacity is serious. This shows that China, as an emerging exporter of wind turbines, has both strong manufacturing capabilities facing the global market and huge pressure to expand the external market.

According to reports, after nearly ten years of independent research and development capabilities, Chinese wind turbine manufacturers have launched a series of products that meet the needs of different operating environments, including low temperature, humid heat, typhoon and high altitude. The products required by the region are expected to further enhance the international competitiveness of "Made in China". At the same time, the wind power equipment operation and maintenance market derived from the export of wind turbines is also driving the export of "Chinese services".
